Beskrivelse

Sunrise on the Reaping, the internationally acclaimed bestseller, is set to hit the big screen in November 2026. The story unfolds on the fiftieth Hunger Games, where fear spreads across Panem’s districts as twice the usual number of tributes are chosen.

A gripping tale of survival and resistance in the brutal world of Panem’s Hunger Games.

On the dawn of the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, the districts of Panem are gripped by fear. This year marks the Quarter Quell, meaning twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. In District 12, Haymitch Abernathy tries to stay focused on simply making it through the day and staying close to the girl he loves.

When Haymitch’s name is called, his world shatters. He is ripped away from his family and love, sent to the Capitol alongside three other District 12 tributes: a close friend who feels like a sister, a compulsive oddsmaker, and the most arrogant girl in town. As the Games commence, Haymitch realizes he’s been set up to fail.

Despite the odds, something inside him ignites a desire to fight back-a fight that could echo far beyond the deadly arena. Sunrise on the Reaping is a powerful, emotional addition to The Hunger Games series, shedding light on the darkest corners of Panem’s tyranny.

Critics praise Suzanne Collins for her compelling storytelling, highlighting moments of unexpected lyricism. This book offers plenty to captivate new readers and satisfy devoted fans alike, making it a must-read in dystopian fiction.
