Why Does Everybody Hate Me?

Beskrivelse

Ever felt like everyone secretly hates you? Alex Partridge dives into the painful reality of living with Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD), a common emotional struggle for those with ADHD.

Understanding and overcoming the intense emotional impact of rejection in ADHD.

Imagine your boss calls you in for a chat, and you spend the whole weekend convinced you’re about to be fired-only to find out you weren’t. Or someone replies to your message with just a thumbs-up emoji, and suddenly you’re sure they despise you. You pull away, they stop texting, and then you’re left missing them terribly.

Maybe a friend leaves the room during a movie, and you immediately think it’s because they dislike your taste in films. The sting of rejection feels physically unbearable, and even tiny criticisms hit you hard. By the time Alex was 12, he had absorbed 20,000 negative messages about himself, his brain, and his unique ADHD perspective on life.

Alex Partridge knows firsthand what it’s like to live with RSD-the emotional rollercoaster nearly everyone with ADHD experiences. From his rise as a successful entrepreneur and founder of global social media brands like UniLad and LadBible, to becoming a passionate neurodiversity advocate and host of the popular ADHD Chatter podcast, Alex has battled the fear of rejection, the label of being ‘over-sensitive,’ and the constant urge to people-please while shielding himself from emotional pain.

In Why Does Everybody Hate Me?, Alex shares his personal journey with RSD and reveals how it has shaped every part of his life-from his professional achievements to his relationships, mental health challenges, and crippling imposter syndrome. Drawing on expert advice from top ADHD specialists, he offers practical steps to help you rebuild your boundaries, boost your confidence, and reclaim your self-worth.

You’re not ‘too sensitive,’ and you’re definitely not broken. You’ve always been enough.
